Wow. I commend you for that, sir.
Anyways, so what’s your proposed method to get rid of LFA?
Ditch IMs in all games, unless absolutely necessary, mainly in MM

Hello, my fellow LFA haters. I have called us together for one purpose and that purpose is to destroy LFA!
Now, for anyone who doesn't know, LFA is a feature in KOTL that stands for "Looking For Attacks". At first glance, there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with this. But that's where you're wrong. LFA is probably the single most broken thing about KOTL right now and here's why.
For starters, the consequences of not saying LFA in your action are completely ridiculous and commonly result in your death. All a player has to do is IM the mod that they attack a person in some lethal way from behind, and that person will most likely die on their next action unless they say three letters: LFA. Should a game really be determined by who remembers to say LFA the most? No, it shouldn't.
Now, I played back before LFA existed and I must say, it was a lot better. Players still sometimes said "I look for attacks", but attacks by IM were kept at a minimum and most combat was done on the thread, without any sneak attacks. I'm not saying that it never happened, but it was much less frequent than it is now. Doesn't it just suck when you get killed quickly after the start of a permanent game and you lose the opportunity to enjoy that game? Even I, the person who hates LFA the most, has done that to someone. It's terrible to have a game get completely ruined for a player because they forgot to put three letters in a sentence. That, my fellow KOTLers, is stupid.
Well, I have said quite a lot already, so I'll wrap this up with a discussion about what KOTL should be about. KOTL and other text based games like it, such as DnD, are games of strategy and skill. Well, at least they should be. Last I checked, typing LFA in a sentence is not skill, and neither is sending IMs to attack someone from behind. KOTL should be kept mostly on the thread, in my opinion, so that everyone has a chance to survive. Everyone has a chance to play, and if they die, it is because they made a legitimate mistake.
To finish this off, I will ask all of you a question. When you die in KOTL, do you want it to be because of an actual mistake, or do you want it to be because you didn't say LFA in your action?
Thank you.
