I think it's right to tell you the proper way to study chess books. Frankly telling you guys I made this method by my own knowledge but it was the right method according to Avetik GM Grigoryan.
I thought the same like he shared in one of his lessons about how to read chess books.
Some myths about study:
1. We can learn after we see the move and the game continuation. This is wrong.
2. Playing will improve your chess.
3. It's good to analyze only losing games.
That's all I normally see. Experienced players can add more if they know.
The right method :
If you want to learn from a strategical book then instead of looking at the analysis from the book , first of all try to find that game from internet or in your chessbase mega database. After you will find that game then delete all the commentary and then put the notation in the training mode and then analyse the game. This method is really effective. I got a rating of 2100 in blitz on chess.com in just 10 days from 1700 rating after I applied this concept in my own training session.
My coach Ram Prakash also suggested me this same method.
