This is the final in the Micro Dog #8 Tournament. The winner will win the tournament!

It's a bulldog chess with witch and guard game between @alexandermatos (White) and @yujieli (Black).

The game will follow the correspondence rules posted here.

Time Control: 3 days/move

Timeout Warnings: 24 hours to make a move after a warning. Maximum 3 warnings. Refreshes every 40th move

Vacation Time: 14 days. Refreshes every 40th move.

Rated: This is a rated game.

Setup: See image below

null

Note that the position of Black's king and queen are switched compared to classical chess.

Pieces:
Guard (G) - Moves and captures like a king.

null

Witch (W) - The rules for the witch can be found here.

null

Castling:
The rules of castling are similar as in classical chess. However, with the board 10 squares wide, the king travels three squares rather than two. The rook finishes adjacent to the king. All squares between the king and rook must be unoccupied, with the exception of transparent pieces (see witch rules).

Promotion: Pawns can promote to guard and witch in addition to queen, rook, bishop or knight.

Other rules of this game are identical with rules of classical chess.

Good luck!

Contestants and spectators alike,

I just want to let you know, don't hesitate to speak out if there are little errors in the diagrams I render. Every once in a while, when I'm working at haste speed, I may make a careless little mistake or two. These little mistakes are a big deal, as I'm sure you understand why.

(I just caught a little error in the 1st Black's view diagram: the files and ranks were not flipped as they should be! h-file was mistakenly named a-file, g-file was mistakenly named b-file, etc. I corrected this just before I rendered this most previous pair of diagrams. But, had it gone unnoticed, Yujieli would be using a faulty set of diagrams, which might obstruct her/his gameplay!!)
