Joey, I'll give you an excuse since you're the first submission, but you must do your Chunk build in the Nether!  That's part of the challenge, and the theme.

Oooh! This is going to be fun! Quick question though: Do we have to show all the new stuff in the snapshots or no? Since I see in Joey's screenshots there's a lot of the new stuff.

Also, do we have to do screenshots, or can we do a cinematic video?

Screenshots are a bare minimum, but if you wanted to do a cinematic video instead that's fine.  You don't have to show everything in the snapshots; you can show whatever you want, or even make it all based off the pre-Nether Update objects.  Only rules are that it has to be in the Nether, based on a Nether theme, and be built in one Chunk.

Hmm. There's barely any room for creativity in a "Nether" themed contest.

@chadnilsen There's a lot of stuff you can do.  The Nether update added a bunch of new objects, and you can build a variety of hellish contraptions or structures out of Nether blocks.  Anything Wither-themed is also considered "Nether".  You can also make cool portals or portal-based contraptions, like zombie pigmen farms.  Anything is possible!

I might put a real wither in mine, but it's going to be stationary coz of command block magic and I think turning off mob griefing disables the explosions destroying things.

Perhaps a sleek redstone portal......
