Vacation is precious, especially for these events because of the fast 1-day time control, and the timeout threshold is 10% for future invitations. As such, please see the chess.com article on vacation: https://support.chess.com/article/624-how-does-vacation-work-how-much-time-do-i-get
I've learned a few tips about vacation that I'd like to share. It's possible to burn up more than one day in a 24-hour period if not used carefully. For example, as soon as you move, you are taken off vacation, but it will deduct 24 hours minimum from your vacation balance; therefore, if you make a move on a game, and are put back on vacation, say within 4 hours, you will get another 24 hours deducted from your vacation balance.
Personally, when I'm on vacation, I plan to take the day off and ponder my positions, so when I am ready to move, I can move on most of my games if not all of them. I will make moves on my games where my time is the lowest, so I don't get put on vacation right away again.
Hope this helps, and let me know if you have any questions.
I will be organizing these events to start on the first of every month with invites going out around the 15th of the prior month. Here is the description:
This is the MSCA Chess.com Daily Tournament! Only players who play their games QUICKLY (who have a low Avg. Time per Move) and who have completed 3 games already can register. Games have a 1 day time control and the games in the round start immediately! (That could be up to 22 games starting right away and going fast!!) Vacation is allowed.
Here are the links for current, and upcoming events. For past events, you can click on the Event # in the Leaderboard.
Rating Ranges: Novice (U1200), Amateur (1000-1699), Premier (1500+). If you want to play, but you have no join option, please message me. If you are registered for a section and your rating changes beyond the range for that section, I will have to remove you. In this case, you may want to join another section before the tournament begins. You may participate in more than one section if eligible by rating. Please message me if you have any questions.
