Trojan horse.
No idea how it would work though. I try to be creative, but I am not satisfied with any of my ideas to match the story.

Trojan horse: Moves like rook, Can only capture pawns, when captured automatically recaptures piece as a knight, may move again.
Titans
Moves like a guard.
Getting captured: Attacking piece automatically gets captured if attacking titan, unless is a titan (then demote titan to guard). When ever a titan is 'captured' first, it turns into a guard.
Medusa. Moves like a pawn but turns the piece directly in front, turns into stone (permanent freeze). Stone piece may only be captured my medusa, captures like it moves.
Trojan horse - moves like a knight. If it gets to the opponents half of the board and is not taken or does not move within 3 moves, promotes to rook, queen or the other musketeer chess pieces that has been chosen.
Thus, the gift horse becomes something deadly to the enemy if ignored.

That is a neat idea. I like it.
It would make for some interesting strategy and tactics. If the TH lands on your side of the board while you're in trouble elsewhere it could be a disaster. But then there's always counter-play with your own TH. I'm not sure if it would be best on the last 2, 3 or 4 ranks before it has to be dealt with?
Also it could potentially be a programming disaster. How do you promote? Is it automatically promoted after the third move? Would you be able to wait? Would promoting the piece take up your next move? Could there be illegal moves upon promotion? Etc, etc.

reposting in case you didn't see... I think this is more simple than the other idea...
Sorry to send this again, but I am planning to expand musketeer chess by adding pieces from myths and legends. If you have any ideas on piece names and rules, send me your messages.
