My Peggy setup

Thought I would share my Pegasus setup, I have it in my office, on one of my personal desks which is setup with a computer and  a 24" monitor. The board is setup on a Lazy Susan so I can easily turn the board if I am black (SquareOff Pro in the background, TV above the board). Enough room to use any board, the SquareOff Pro can fit here as well (it is in the background). The Millennium e-One is on my study desk across the room, I think it will just be used for chess study. My actual "official" work desk (where I earn a living) is off to the left of these pics, also has enough room to put the e-One and the Peggy on it if I want to play a game while I am waiting for things finish up at work.

Ready to start the game
A few moves in, Android tablet mounted on wall above the board
Close up of the tablet in clock mode, very easy to keep an eye on
Charging cable, works with all devices
Close up of charging cable, adapters and "leashes" (so they don't get lost) found on Amazon

This way I can charge any board I am currently using at this spot. Can't wait to get the Chessnut Air in next month.

Cheers!

Ahh, with the Library Marshall Reds! I particularly like your inspiring suspended tablet, hanging above as if in judgement. Leapfrogs our pedestrian iPad cradles.

Rsava

Yeah, the Marshall Reds are a very nice set to play with. I modified them with the foil stickers and I played a second flawless game (not my play of course).

In this setup it was so smooth, not a single missed piece in either game. The communication/connection was solid the entire time.

Now to get the chess.com part working.

My own experience with my DGT Smart Board is that the metal parts in a lazy susan interferes badly with the board electronics making it an unuseable setup for me. And that's way too bad since being able to easily turn the board like that is really needed for online play. I'm curious if you've had any issues with that, or if you've come up with ways to solve any problems. I'm guessing that since the Pegasus doesn't use the same kind of piece recognition that it's a non-issue for you.

Rsava

I have not had an issue yet, it may be the different piece recognition or it may be the construction/design of the Lazy Susan.

This is what I bought to use :

SirIvanhoe

Thanks! I should also add, the bluetooth in your Pegasus would also make that much handier. The Smart Board is wired, so that's doable but has limitations.

The more expensive DGT e-board have piece identity recognition, am thinking bar code of a sort. This is probably more sensitive to ECI and EMI  The Peg and the Cent only detect a piece, not which one it is, and it is by non visible light.

SirIvanhoe

I believe the Smart Board has an RFID in each piece.

Looking good @Rsava. Where are the pieces from please? I doubt I'll get them in the UK though. Are they plastic?

Cheers!

Rsava

@RadgieGadgie - Yes, they are plastic.

They are the Marshall Library set from House of Staunton:

I am sure they ship to the UK but shipping must be pretty high.
