Payed Tournaments!!!💰 🚨Join now! What are you waiting for!!!🚨 Users Legends Club: https://www.chess.com/club/users-legends-club
I just picked up a DGT Pegasus hoping to use it with chess.com, but I've now noticed that the option described in this support article doesn't seem to exist anymore. I also wasn't able to get anything happening with the Android app — connected the app to my Pegasus and enabled the "Use Connected Board" toggle switch when starting a new game, but nothing happens when I get into the game and move the pieces. It worked as expected with Lichess and the DGT Chess app. Did chess.com just quietly remove this functionality?

Hi, has anybody got the DGT Pegasus board working with chess.com? I have it working with LiChess on apple and android but not chess.com also does anyone know of plans to get it working with IOS?

I have very little experience with Android, but the weird Android-ish thing that is my Kindle Fire is clearly not the best device for using my DGT (and other) boards. So, I am going to get an android device that I will basically devote to chess. A small tablet, or a large phone, I guess? Something that I can use easily with the Pegasus and that has power and space enough for me to waste far too much time I should be using productively. What are the things I should be looking for? And if you have suggestions on particular devices for the best chess experience on Android, I am all ears!

Hello everyone,In the last few months I have recorded how the user experience with the different apps for the DGT Pegasus is. I recorded whether the game runs smoothly or whether there was a glitch in the app. You can find the results here: DGT Pegasus Apps User Experience. Overall I'm very happy with the DGT Pegasus, although there are occasional glitches. The feeling of playing with the board is incomparable and is great fun. tl;drThe chess.com app is the most stable, followed by Whitepawn. The DGT Chess App still has room for improvement :-) Best regardsTontaube

Hey. Is there a way to connect Dgt Pegasus to Dgt Live Chess App on Windows? I tried but Pegasus doesn't show up in the e-boards list. Any solutions?
Hi, I don't think the battery management of the Pegasus is working properly. I charged the Pegasus 100% and turned it off and used it again after 4 days and it has dropped from 100% to 21%. Perhaps this software can be improved moderately. Hopefully it's not the battery quality? I know that DGT also monitors this forum so I hope they respond to this. But maybe one of you also know how this can be improved?
Hi - glad to see this group! I have a DGT smartboard that works fine on LiChess, but I have a couple of issues using it on Chess.com. 1) The board sometimes loses synch with chess.com. This typically happens early in the game, say 10 moves in, where moves are recognized on DGT Livechess bot no longer transmitted to Chess.com 2) Chess.com occasionally makes a move when nothing has moved on the board. For example, you are thinking about your next move, and chess.com announces "rook on f8 to c8" making a move when no pieces have been touched. Anyone else having similar issues or have any ideas about how to fix this? Since there are no issues like this on LiCHess, I don't think this is a problem with my DGT not working correctly. Thanks, Carl

I was using my pegasus board last night and it wouldn't let me make a specific move. It just kept flashing under the opponent's piece that just moved. I was able to make a different move. I know this because his king could only move one spot so I cycled back to the same position and tried again. The same thing happened. It was a legal move. Just taking his bishop with my rook. I forgot I could switch to the lichess app so I ended up losing the game. Very angry about this.

Is there any way to play Engines here or on lichess using the Pegasus ?

I know this topic has been beaten to death but I’m still looking for a little clarity before I dump my Pegasus. I’ve read many threads and I’m still a little confused. I’ve waited and waited for IOS/Chess.com integration but as far as I can tell it still hasn’t happened. Am I missing something? Accurate, right? My question is this: Should I wait longer or just give in and find an android device to use with it? I really hate the idea of buying a device just for this reason, but am getting tired of waiting. The DGT app is terrible, and White Pawn is ok but I’m not terribly invested in Lichess. One other question: Is it everyone’s understanding that the competition is roughly similar in terms of IOS/Chess.com integration? Im not a big spender but at this point would consider another expensive e-board if it works with my existing iPhone. Primarily looking at the ChessUp or the Square Off Pro. So far as I can tell neither are working with IOS/Chess.com Hoping for facts here, thanks for reading!
This topic is for reliable information any of us receives from DGT on any product, which we feel is both constructive and useful for other members. Many of us have received fairly useless replies from well-intentioned level 1 support responders which are not worth mentioning. I finally reached a higher level DGT employee who told me the following today (in no particular order): DGT employees do not respond to posts on the DGT Chess Club forum because they feel strongly that should be a user-to-user experience. They recognize the existence and value of our group here and want to help (especially with Pegasus). The Pegasus hardware platform is considered stable and has been battle tested in the field now. They suggest sending help requests to the following people: Rishma info@dgt.nl and Sebastiaan support@dgt.nl . I have found Sebastiaan to be extremely helpful and forthcoming in the recent past, have not dealt with Rishma. There is no need to pummel them with Pegasus requests since I think we've solved many here, but perhaps members will find heretofore unsolved issues . It does no good to send messages to @DGTChess or @DGTmarketing here (as I have, but have learned). They are not empowered to do anything you would want in terms of tech support. Returns are to be handled thru the merchant where we bought our boards. Their distribution agreements with them provide for this (e.g., there is no DGT warehouse in North America or the Netherlands to support end users). The DGT app: "The DGT app we have released in December doesn’t meet up to our standards. The last couple of months we have worked very hard building a completely new app, this app will be released very soon." I have not asked what "very soon" means but I find this very encouraging. DGT will send me the "release notes" containing new features, improvements, bug fixes, etc in a couple of weeks. This is in line with what we have heard anecdotally but nice to be confirmed. I will post any new info here, especially if it comes before general availability of the new app. I suggested some of us would be good beta testers. They are thinking about it but I suspect they have ways of doing so without any of us. They have no doubt been doing user acceptance testing already. Hoping this assuages anxiety for some here. If anyone else has found a breakthrough, please let us know. I am encouraged by the communication I got today. Big step forward for us in many regards. - humble admin
Anyone using this? Thinking about trying Chess Dojo...
Hi, I realize this is a bit off topic, but thought it might be of interest to this group. After much trouble with my DGT smartboard on chess.com, I decided to give the Millennium eOne board a try. The board arrived today and I just played my first game with it on chess.com. It worked perfectly! One thing to note is that the eBoard connects using the chess.com app and on a smartphone and not using a computer. I am using the android version of the chess.com application. This is only one game so I need to play more to see if there are any issues. But, my first impression is that it works really well. Carl

Hi folks, my name is Adrian and I am happy to meet people like me, passionate about chess and also own a DGT Centaur board I am one of the contributors on a project called DGT CentaurMods. Some of you might have heard of it already. What is this project all about? Well, it puts your DGT Centaur board on steroids You'll have to do a hardware change to your board actually. You need to replace the Raspberry Pi inside the board with a Raspberry Pi W or W2 version. This step should be very easy as the Pi is actually plugged in a socket. This change and with the help of our software will enable to: emulate other boards over bluetoth (including Peg), wireless support to play online (currently Lichess supported), play other engines like lc0, ct800, etc, web interface with PGN export and game analysis, customize RodentIV characters. All these while still keeping the original software. This is a young project, just over 6 months old. We have other features in the pipeline coming. All new features will be provided to you with an OTA update system.Current version is 1.1.2. Project website: https://github.com/EdNekebno/DGTCentaurModsDiscord server: https://discord.gg/zqgUGK2x49Videos: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLi5aFfY8KiFukqY2PFdxuQ32lnIfFQQqBThe videos are some of the old version... I hope to see you on our Discord server if you are interested in this project.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKtRzcVe4d4 great vid from katzenpapa re aartbik's Chess for Android app running on Pegasus. Works great for me. As long as I can't connect to chess.com I thought I'd try this.

I made a YouTube video on how to connect a DGT Bluetooth e-Board (e.g, Rosewood, Wenge, Walnut, Tournament) or Smartboard to lichess.org. These instructions are not for the Pegasus or Centaur. I'm not saying lichess is better than chess.com; If I thought it were, I wouldn't be on this site. just showing another option for playin online with a DGT e-Board. The instructions in the video are summarized in the YouTube description. https://youtu.be/AwboO7LY87Q Summary of the video Instructions:1) Download DGT LiveChess App from DGT LiveChess2) Create an account on lichess.org3) Create an Access Token (click on your name, choose "Preferences") or it might be easier to use the "configure" tab on DGT board page after step #4.4) Select DGT Board from "Play" menu option5) Duplicate the displayed (DGT) page tab6) Select "Play" at bottom of page and verify the software sees your e-Board7) Select the OTHER duplicated tab and then select Lichess.Org to get back to the main menu8) You are now ready to create a game and play against either a computer or online participants with your e-Board

Acquired an Android tablet to circumvent the lack of iOS support. I've tried the instructions in this post, but cannot connect Peg when in the chess.com app on my Android tablet. https://support.chess.com/article/1257-how-can-i-play-with-a-dgt-board 1. Correct Assumption: One can only play chess.com directly thru their app, NOT by using the DGT app. Chess.com is visible, but not selectable in the DGT app, and there's a little message that tells you to use the Ches.com app instead....fair enough 2. In chess.com on my android tablet, I can't navigate to the "enable DGT board" selection. It IS switched ON on my laptop app though. If I go to Live Chess on my tablet, there is no intermediate option or Settings in which to enable the DGT Board...it's simply not there. Live Chess takes me directly to playing a Game. The post above simply isn't useful unless I'm missing something 3. I can see Peg in my bluetooth android tablet settings, but she does not pair. I don't think this is an issue however, because she pairs via the DGT app thru the app, when I'm playing on lichess. Not a problem in chess.com either? 4. Peg's blue light flashes continuously but never goes solid for 3 seconds to indicate connection. Bluetooth is definitely ON in tablet cuz I play on lichess via DGT app. Help please? This would help anyone...what am I missing folks?

I am just wondering: If you play your training games on the Peg, and use it to set up puzzles, training etc...when you play at a tournament, or local chess club, where the boards are a fair bit bigger. Do you find any problems going back and forth between the board sizes?
