You could draw some lighter colored lines in the flowing water.
The thing is, it starts looking really weird when it goes through the frames of the water animation.

Do you have to draw each frame as a whole block or just the "flow lines"?
As I showed on post #18, the water animation texture is all in one file, with about 32 squares, (I didn't count them), stacked on top of each other to make one long rectangle. So it's hard to tell where one frame begins, and where it ends.

Try coloring the whole thing one color and see what happens
That's what I did. It's in the last two pics.

Oh! Actually I made it very slightly lighter colored. But maybe I should add some white dots, making it look foamy? IDK.

Maybe add a simple shader to it? (Not an advanced shader because it might clash with the simplicity)
I haven't yet released it. But I'll try to do that soon.
