Wow,DG. We really need that, thanks!
New Analysis Q&A! What should we add to our Analysis FAQ?
chess is all about how accurate you are at it, its not of just making brilliant moves, your opponent will take advantage of your mistakes.
An article on how to best use the analysis function taking into account the players level would be helpful.
If playing like Tal and the sacrifices worked to help won the game, they should be labeled as Brilliant instead of Blunders.
I've had an opponents move labelled as brilliant!! (twice!!) even though it was one of only two moves he could make with his king in check??

Totally agree but it's always been like that hasn't it?
In some cases, making a sacrifice is forcing a line. If you are an expert on the line and your opponent is not, then you usually have a real advantage. If they are equally expert, then they'll know the line and have pretty good counter play. I think it is reasonable to assume though that the analysis should also consider the move order after the "mistake" and if it directly led to a winning position, then it should be considered brilliant..
I've never had a brilliant, but I have had a few excellents but guess what I STILL LOST, oh well
