New Position Workshop / Testing Thread

Attention FFA players! I need help!

I recently submitted a custom variant called 4P Gothic (currently pending approval). Currently, this position is set to Teams. Whether or not the CGAs accept it, I would like my next step to be to develop an FFA version as well. My main problem is that I don’t play FFA so I don’t know much about the strategy. This means that 1) I’ll eventually need help with testing this position, and 2) I need input on what pawns should promote to.

In normal ffa, pawns promote to 1-point queens. In this setup, I’d also like to be able to promote to chancellors and archbishops. What do you guys think would be best to promote to?

1. Just 1-point queens (D)
2. 1-point queen, chancellor, and archbishop (DHE)
3. 1-point queen, chancellor, archbishop, and knight (DHEN)
4. DHEQRBN
5. DHERBN
6. Other

Is there a reason why Red's and Yellow's royals are set to 6, and Blue's and Green's are at 1?

It was originally set for 4 players but it was too difficult to wait until 4 players, so I added zombie (F-Muncher) and set it to 1-Check, and this way the player needs to choose more points or more pieces (Takeover)

Mabe 1 checks for everyone...

Is mabe a dumb question but whats happen if a muncher get KOTH?

I suggest you to put 1 checks, and put a varied promotion group (ex: HEVO) so everyone promote a different piece and the war can begun.
