@iSpaceChess, check all the relevant notifications/notifications from clubs which you are in, forums you're following, vc matches etc etc and then click Clear Alerts

Those are some old notifications or you are still receiving them, let's say 30 minutes ago?

That's the same problem edr0nt mentioned. Those are notifications that haven't been displayed to you while being the member. Going forward, you won't be getting notifications from clubs you are not a member of.

I then cleared the notifications but new ones arrived. I cannot access the forums because I am banned so there is no way for me to date the comments.

I am getting the same thing, I can click through and read the forum thread for that particular notification but cannot read any others.

So you're saying you are still getting notifications from clubs you are not member of, at this point, after you clear current notifications, of or you are just acknowledging some past notifications?

I have only just joined beta but I noticed too that I got notifications from groups that I’ve never been in. I’ve cleared them now.

We will temporarily disable new notifications for Beta until we figure out how to deal with this increased number of club activity notifications reported by multiple users. Thanks everyone for their help so far, much appreciated!

@MainframeSupertasker Those are browser notifications, not in-app notifications a.k.a. alerts in the sidebar.
