Number of games

Hello friends,

I do not know what's on and if you see the same as me. But it looks like there are MUCH LESS games available than even just 2-3 weeks ago (not to mention before the March catastrophe).

Even if I look at ALL STANDARD GAMES, ALL timings (but hyper), and with NO rating limitation, I see no games right now for instance, outside of the one I launched (and nobody has joined so far).

When there are games, these are often with no rating limits (and therefore purely BS), or very low rated. I've lost about 250 points in Rapid FFA rating strictly because of that: by mere weariness joined eventually a 1900+ game for instance, so players play nonsense, attack in front, accuse you of cheating if you cooperate with the opp' and promise to report about you for cheating , play for 2nd and ruin your games, and quite often you're targetted because of a even modest 2200-2300 rating and eventually are 3rd or 4th. It's simple, since the reform I dropped by 200 places in the ladder just because of this phenomenon. And if I oblige myself not to play games under let's say 2200, there are far too few.

What happened? Do you see the same?

Right now: "No open challenges" outside of just ONE (mine, a 2000+ 1 2 FFA). WTF?! It used to be dozens of games beforehand if you put rated, standard, Rapid+Blitz+Bullet, no rating limitation.

Maybe, we could start limiting threads by having players look for keywords that address the same problem, but I don’t know.

No, it's a different issue, and I was referring to the situation of TODAY, even vs. 3 days ago for instance. Not about the March catastrophe that all are aware of.

Lol yes, I even was up to 2650 sometimes. But who cares. Currently struggling to come back there, lost in the 2250-2300 swamp, with many incompetent idiots playing nonsense, attacking you in front, reporting you for "teaming", etc. and many many many good moves simply not seen. It creates a lot of frustration and annoyance. 

(Probably my own level also decreased somewhat, but I am sure my drop in rating is due for 90% to this phenomenon: lower you descend, easier it is for a reasonably strong player to lose because of the way low-rated players play; the fact that I am 48th and 50th in Blitz and Bullet proves my point well enough I think... I am simply guilty to have accepted to play low-rated games, hence the punishment. So yes it's unpleasant to drop, and it's even more unpleasant and humiliating to be mocked publicly on that by 2000-2450 players whereas I used to be rated much higher. Happens about 2-3 times per week; obliges me to learn some humility).

Yeah Indi, that makes sense... I was peeved after almost going down to 2300 after the merge, so I decided to play 2200+ and 1900+ queues; when you’re on the attacking end, it’s fun to claim free games, getting 2v1ed by a puppet and a puppetmaster isn’t that fun in contrast. 

(BTW I understood what happened earlier today, LOL: inadvertently I pushed the "4p chess button", so no 4p chess games were displayed, and no challenges outside of mine . BTW the thingy doesn't work correctly, if you push the button "2p chess" it doesn't remove the 2p variants games as it should).

uh no if you press the 4p button it displays 4p only and likewise if you press the 2p button

Yes, for me it does work NOW, but 2 days ago something was wrong (2p games were displayed anyway). Whatever.

the way you set limits needs to be changed,  rounding is for the birds.  and will we ever be able to take over for a disconnected partner or are we still taking our chances as chess.com puts it?????  it would be nice to be able to move for the person that loses all your fuqqin points with a weak connection.....  im just sayin if chess.com gave a shit about the players they would fix this for us. you can't have people afraid of random partners!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  wake up already.  and the 8,000 rating points ive lost this way you can keep.  lol.   id be rated 10,000.   this is a shame. 

unless it's server disconnection, it isn't really their fault, and you don't have stockfish playing moves for you when you disconnect in a 2pc blitz game, do you?

in regular chess you don't have a partner to worry about, a random one at that.   i guess we can cancel our memberships and delete our accounts likes hundreds already have.  i said it before,  chess.com is here to screw us.   the door is wide open to lose but never gain.  did you know people use meet and zoom to talk to each other during games??   why is there no link for that in game???  thats a million dollar idea isn't it?  but they never took me seriously so i gave up being nice.   these people are idiots. ] its a HUGE secret so don't tell anyone people are doing it. AND the stream to talk their audience to get ideas for moves.   and the admins using GM partners and bringing them over to 4player so they have a low rated partner so they win more points is a cute move.  i guess everything is ok but you can't move for a disconnected partner...lol.   don't get me started,  ive been here for 12 god dam years and was here on day 1 for 4 player.  i remember sitting and waiting for people to show up to play.  go talk checkers to someone else,  this is chess.
