Yes, it just takes a while for the system to catch up ![]()
Offline status is wrong
You need to click "Logout" from Home tab. It immediately logs you out. I try it everytime and it works.
But if you just switch your device off or close your browser without clicking logout, chess.com takes a certain time to ensure if the person has very probably wanted to log off, and then the green symbol turns off. Lets say that happens in 15 minutes after closing the browser.
The time when the member clicked Login

after entering his login credentials, is known as their Last Login time. Hovering over the area where it shows something like "10 hours ago" will show the exact time when the member last logged in.
Since most of the time members forget to click logout, chess.com cant really detect when they left the site tab, and therefore cannot establish an exact "last online" time i think.
Unless you are in live chess, your status is not "live" and instead simply updates at intervals. I don't know the exact numbers, but if you sign out, our server doesn't constantly check to see if you have signed out, so it might not figure it out until it runs its next check.
FIRST OF ALL, I AM SORRY THIS IS LONG! Thank you for your time.
Ok, when someone makes a post and then immediately goes offline, the person is still being seen as “online” for about 5 minutes after they log off, close their device, etc.
Well when after you wait for them to have the offline status shown, it says they have been offline for a few hours and not just 5 minutes ago. So is there a discrepancy in the server deposit or is the chess.com site just not variably linked to a server output of correct time engrams? It may also be possible that, since it always varies on how much time it says, it may be a linked server time discrepancy in our region, although it be pointing towards a settings reboot over the timeline since it may have been too long on.
If you have ANY answers or know what i’m talking about, stop by and give a tip for the mods and me to figure out what going on with these frame inconsistencies. Although it may be something small, it might turn out to be part of a bigger problem with dates, cables, and time zones. Thank you all for your time!
