Hello dear friends, Caster and Marignon,

Greetings to all.

Caster is saying that in table 2 you should penalyze Team Bucharest because the account of Oreste(romanian player) is closed. May i remind you the rule of the tournament:

''G. Fairplay

If a player account is closed by Chess.com, all of his matches will be declared lost.''

The account of Oreste was not closed by Chess.com. He closed himself the account. If chess.com would of closed Oreste's account he would of have the icon for cheating. Or it would be in a list for closed account by chess.com.

The 2 points lost by time out by team Rasht should be counted for team Bucharest as the rules states. Oreste's account was not closed by chess.com.

So i think that recalculating the score in this moment should be -1 for Team Rasht and +1 for Team Bucharest.

Let me remind that in table 52 and 46 the iranian players akbar1964 and khaton_iranian have the account closed. Toghether, both  iranian players won 3 points, that according to Caster treatment we should penalyze team Rasht also with -3. This would be in my advantage and team Bucharest's advantage but i am in favor of justice. The 2 iranian players from table 52 and 46 don't have the cheating icon. It;s not correct to penalyze them.

Marignon, please advise.

Kind regards,

Marignon

Thank you, Bobi and sorry that I did not notice those account closures on boards 52 and 46. This inconvenience affected pairings somewhat, but not critically. They will be taken into account since now for future pairings.

It is clear that all closed accounts should be recounted.

I can give you the example of http://www.chess.com/home/game_archive?member=donSerhio who was closed by chess.com without a sign, because he was closed not for cheating, but for some kind of rasist hate speech. I think it is good and fair to recount such closures.

You should know that if your team's player has really closed his account by himself, he can reopen it at any moment to avoid putting his team at a disadvantage.

Let me make a list of accounts closed without a sign to use it in the future and avoid mistakes:

donSerhio (Sevastopol)

Oreste (Bucharest)

akbar1964 (Rasht)

khaton_Iranian (Rasht)

Please, inform me about other such closures by private messages.

Viorel_Mardare

I agree with you Marignon. It.s dificult to investigate if all accounts closed without a sign were closed by the player or nu chess.com. To avoid unfair practice se should recalculate all closed accounts.

When just a game will remain from this match i will add new closed accounts if they will appear more.

Many thanks.
