"Playing for Fun"

I consider myself high rated. I think a lot of people on forum, whether they're ranging from the 2000s to the 2500s or even the 3000+ area will label themself as such.

There are some players, who "play for fun"; this is a very broad spectrum. But I will be focusing on one part of it, that specifically stands out to me.

When I see 3 players ganging up on me in a game and losing at the cost of their own rating, dignity, and public image, it's very insulting to see them use the excuse "we play for fun", and "rating doesn't matter".

I also play for fun. I don't think any single player on 4PC plays for money unless they are a streamer. I have fun when I gain rating or when I am at least able to have a balanced match, and get to lose because of my own mistakes, and grow from them.

Not when I am tanked 50 points in a single game because of a beat em up that can't be punished because it wasn't prearranged.

It's the problem of looking from both sides; one side probably wants to ruin another person's day, the other wants to win and play fairly.

People, if you want to troll others, go on a shooter game, and target one person for the entire match. Don't intentionally ruin another human being’s day for your own pleasure.

Please, if you're saying this in the context of hyper games don't ever expect any figment of integrity.

Honestly though it is annoying but such is ffa many times. The only way to avoid a muppet show is to play boring teams games which ruins the fun of trying to control a game of unpredictability.

I agree, definitely. And that's also why anon. games are often preferable.

Completely agree with you,   @ChessMasterGS , excellent post!

Yes but you can't formulate it clearly and undisputedly enough in order for a COMPUTER to be able to enforce it. What you and I feel will not be analysed by a computer easily.

Not all rules need to be enforced automatically. It could be handled the same way as prearrangement reports. Unfortunately, I doubt any of the admins have time to handle these kinds of reports.

What it says is correct @Indipendenza .

In the 4pc there is psychology, variable mood, temperament, etc. None of this can be measured mathematically, but they are relevant factors.

When you play with 4 players, you are always going to question many things, and you are going to apply personal judgment, at that moment, what can be correct, or wrong, is something very volatile or variable.

Sometimes we must accept or be tolerant, with some decisions of some players, so that later they do not throw the games in the trash and harm someone, who does take it seriously.

No, absolutely unrealistic. There will be 99% of BS reports but that would ask a lot of time to the modos. Impossible.

Never, especially not when humanity is working backwards like shown in this forum:

And how do they know who is the highest rated, genius?

(and don't answer "it's obvious from his moves", because it's not true as it's obvious for players who are themselves skilled enough and such players won't have this behaviour anyway)

I mean in a game thats like 2100s vs a 2600 or smth

the difference is large enough to tell and 2100s SHOULD be skilled enough to tell...
