Kookaburra: I completely sympathise with your situation, as the big-picture goal of this competition should have been to facilitate one *locality* playing against another from a different part of the world. In your case, it clearly makes sense for small clubs in close proximity to be permitted to team up together - thereby forming a viable composite. Not all clubs are based in or near a metropolis with a large catchment area. Re: your other points, I'll drop you a private message about the kind of things we have been doing in Devon which have been a big success so far (but quite a lot of hard work!)
DBowcott: It's great to hear that you are positive about this now, and I hope your club does end up competing!
Now that we have our first team selected, our opposition is a great club from the Netherlands, I'm cool with this set-up now. Yes, the odd team will be getting away with an unfair advantage over others as they are not real clubs like ours but we're going to get to play some prestigious clubs from around the world and that's pretty cool. The good far outweighs the bad.
I think Kookaburra should be allowed in. It's a special case.
