The Rules (Shortened Version)
The players must use their Forum of Discussion to communicate with the other player. No other mean of communication is acknowledged. Click your username in the pairings to access.
The Protocol Of Discussion
The first player to enter the Forum of Discussion (FD) must make at least 3 Initial Game Offers (3 IGOs) to the opponent. See the definition of an IGO below.
The second player to enter the Forum of Discussion must take 1 of the 2 following actions:
Accept one of the opponent’s Initial Game Offers as is. Or...
If accepting anything is impossible, the second player must make at least 3 counter Initial Game Offers. See more about the IGO below. The players have no more than 72 hours after the pairings are posted to fulfill their above (1) or (2) duty. If not performed, the Forum of Discussion will be locked and the faulty player(s) will be issued a forfeit loss.
If after both players have offered the other player with at least 3 IGOs no agreement has been found, then the players will keep trying for a solution. Anytime during the discussion the players will keep using their Forum of Discussion.
The “3 Initial Game Offers” (IGO)
IGO #1 must propose a game that would start at least 36 hours after posting time.
IGO #2 must offer a game that would start at least 3 hours after IGO #1.
IGO #3 must propose a game that would start at least 24 hours after IGO #1.
At least 2 out of 3 IGOs must fit in your opponent’s Normal Playing Time (NPT). The NPT is defined as "starting anytime between 7:00 local and 21:00 local. A hyperlink leading to a Time Zone Converter is supplied in your Forum of Discussion.
Do not forget to look if the other player is listed in Outpost. In other words, we want at least 3 hours that separate 2 IGOs. And 24 hours or more between the chronologically IGO1 and IGO3.
