well..... I have made dumber mix ups in the past.
I love chessables FREE short and sweets, but i always get the full course on my favorite ones. Thats where i got alot of vienna time in. I feel that the shorts and sweets are great because if people need to go through them more than once before playing the course they can, since the courses are in depth for a starter and still only 45 minutes long for a majority and can be up to 3 hours long for rare cases like a scicillian course which is still short for chess courses. AND FREE did i mention that LOL.
By the way I also practice on Chessreps.com
chessreps? gonna check it out never heard of it
Picking up a free knight is amazing. so im happy with what chess reps has to offer. Thanks for the share
Love to see usefull forums being created, Keep up the good work, maybe the Title could use an update but that's up to you Dal
Heck no the title is what got me to click on this lol. Ok here is a question
Should I.... spend time on interim openings like the ponziani and bird openings or is my time better spent on main stream openings like spanish and italian? is it worth learning an opening to counter it or is it better to learn anti opening systems?
Spanish is very nice, but only for 10/5 and 15/10 snd you could do 10min, but that might be too fast for you so I recommend 10/5 and 15/10. It gets you used to calculating and has a clear plan of attacking on the kingside, but the attacking at the kingside part only comes in most lines because the stinitz varaiation is too a too solid way for black to avoid mainline and the attack which is boring, but gives you an easy plan. The mainline plan and the sideline called Ruy Lopez: Berlin variation plan are plans to keep in mind in all variations.
Thank you i dont play 10min flat games anymore my coach got on me about those being a little too fast to really improve. I will talk with the coach this friday to build an improvement plan centered on the spanish. I really appreciate the Berlin variation tip.
