I'd recommend play-testing some games in the forums.  I think you'd find white tends to win.

Once white moves a pawn, the pawns drop down, giving white a half-open file.  At that point, any black pawn move immediately gives white a free rook.  Black therefore has to move a knight instead - but that makes the rook drop down, leaving the pawn unprotected.  White therefore gets at least a free pawn guaranteed on his second move.

Not only that, but there's now a white rook in perfect position to eat his way down through the black position.

Yes

How about this - At the start of the game it is normal chess ( but from a side view ) . After the first kill , gravity becomes active and after every kill , gravity and anti gravity became active alternatively . If there are no kills for 3 moves continuously , it comes back to normal chess . And , you can capture pieces using gravity / anti gravity in your first two rows .

But yeah , I will try play testing it

Looks interesting!

+1 but i would like it if your turn could just be reverse the gravity pull for both

Yeah , I was thinking of maybe reversing the gravity after every kill

Scarlet_Evans

Good to remember that reversing it could make the kings capturable happy.png
