V3 LINKS DOESN'T WORK ON V2

I am happy with v3,its almost perfect.

Still many users use V2.

V3 links wont load in v2 which causes a big problem in groups. Whenever I put up a v3 link for a match they say it wont load in v2 and asks for the v2 link.This makes me go back to v2.

Whereas the v2 link works both for v2 and v3.

Could the staffs make the v3 links applicable for v2 too?

Agree that this is an annoying issue. One of the only reasons I ever go back to V2 is to retrieve a V2 link, so that none of my members will have trouble...

Yes, use V2 links when you communicate with other members (news, forums, group notes). This is just temporary, V2 will be gone soon.

In V3 links if you remove the word club and replace it with group it will work in V2

It is also worth noting that v2 links work correctly in v3; they forward to the correct v3 location. While v2 was the default I started using v2 specific links so that people on both versions could access them.

I assume most of the rewrite rules will stick around after v2 is retired so old links don't break.

I still recommend using V2 links in news and forums (they work for both V2 and V3) and will thus work for all users.
