VC Setup Issue

Hi all, I had to set up a bunch of VCs against other clubs for a league event, but I couldn't make a custom start time for the event. I thought it was that the VC didn't start until both sides locked their rosters? If someone can clarify for me that would be amazing.

VC (vote chess) most of the time people join after it has started, then they vote on a move. In daily matches, you lock a roster on both sides and then it will start.

(Not sure if that helped any)

no I don't think so as a former coordinator in a few clubs I think it was just that the earliest start time possible is the time you select

In Vote Chess, someone submits either a direct challenge or an open seek. Regardless of what time the challenge is accepted, the game will start on the next straight-up hour.

Example:

Challenge is accepted at 5:17 AM. The game will start at 6:00 AM.

Challenge is accepted at 8:05 PM. The game will start at 9:00 PM.

In Vote Chess, club members can join the game at any time during the tenure of the game.

Members may also quit the game at any time. When a member quits a VC game, it is permanent. They cannot rejoin. That is the website's rule.

With a 3-day time control. Vote Chess games usually last six to eight months.

- unless they lose in time

Timeouts are the curse of Vote Chess. Approximately 50% of VC games end due to a timeout. We have been requesting the website provide reminders for about 17 years, but they just won't do it.
