@Crick3t:
I actually favor setting aiming to set up a vote chess match for all of the various major French openings ( If other folks are like me, we tend to settle into 2-3 openings that we are comfortable playing and tend to go deep on the various self contained lines, set ups and type of middle game set ups that these lead to until we have a comfort level ). I think it would benefit me to explore other openings. I personally have only focused on playing from Black's side ( as I like the idea of not behaving as one expects from the opposite end but I am sure I could benefit from learning to play from both White and Black. I personally do not like pre-set ups for Vote Matches ( as in real games there is no guarantee that you opponent is going to respond as expected, but I will leave that to you folks to determine ) . Looking forward to playing alongside and learning with/from my club colleagues. My only strong preference would be that we first focus on playing the various openings as black, try to cover the breadth of the majors before we turn our attention to playing as white
.
Hi All,
I would like to set up a few more vote chess games as it is a perfect way to learn and practice an opening.
But before that I would like to find out a few things:
1) would you like to play vote chess?
I am just wondering how many vote chess games we should run simultaneously. If there are not that many people, who are interested in vote chess, then we should not have too many at the same time.
2) which lines would you like to try out / learn?
3) would you like to try out the French Defence from the other side?
Meaning, playing with white against the French Defence.
4) Do you have any questions or suggestions about vote chess?
Thanks,
Peter
