Hello Custom Variants community!
Okay, starting this off with a (funny?) comment: I accidentally closed the tab that I was drafting this post on after working for around 2 hours, so apologies if any part of this looks rushed, I'm trying to redo everything before I forget what I wrote lol
Anyway; June is here! We're glad that all of you in the community (around 8.5k to be exact) are here with us! As variants steadily gets more popular, and custom variants along with it, we want to make sure that everyone has the best experience possible, and we can't do it without everyone here making variants, giving feedback, and helping us out!
To newer members, welcome! As a short note, I'd like to dedicate this section to congratulating @MegaThief and co-author @imchesspro0930 on their variant "Qiang-Xiangqi" (https://www.chess.com/variants/qiang-xiangqi/), which is the newest variant on this server! Their variant was accepted after 5 revisions; truly a dedication! You can see their final revision and the accepted version at https://variants.world/posts/1558.
To top the announcement section of this off, if any of you here are interested in contributing to custom variants on a deeper level and aid us in testing and voting, then the NCV Tester application is for you!
