It has been suggested and demanded many times before. I asked to have custom color selection for pieces and board squares in regular mode and puzzles and still nothing. 

Has anybody heard about chess.com v5, will that have customization options we've been asking about for years now? Is there anyone we can ask? 

I don't think I've seen posts mentioning that any such customizations are coming. I do miss things, so guess it might be possible.

Also, versioning is likely used internally, and you can see some in sources, but as far as I'm aware, there isn't going to be announcements mentioning versions as such.
