I think I got it finally now. The rook is on f6. I think the Rook might be sacrificed for a bishop or knight on f6..

It's obviously a bishop.

and bishop is obviously not taller than queen

I agree with @Sebu13 , it feels like the bishop on f1... @SPK1729 , I know you wrote the riddle so you know the correct answer, but your riddle never actually says that said piece (if we're even guessing a piece) was taller than a queen. In fact, "queen" is apparently the wrong answer, and the only piece taller than it is a king, which makes no sense to the riddle at all. Still, I guess King is my final answer, after your hints?

Nothing is taller than the queen, and in the riddle it doesn't say it's taller than the queen.

@Sebu13 The king is technically taller than the bishop, just doesn't fit as an answer! The only thing we haven't guessed at this point is a pawn, but it also doesn't fit great.

Oh wait.. isn’t the rook unprotected and that’s why it says it’s better with help? It can’t be the pawn, knight, king or queen so it’s down to the bishop and the rook. Correct me if I’m wrong. Oh and do you see the emoji of a castle??? Plus, the rook does slide along the files. So maybe a rook on the c or f file?
