weapons, tools, although you need a crafting table which is made using wood

-_- if you don't have wood you can't make a pickaxe, and so you can't mine coal

u can find coal in loot chests

u can find diamond in loot chests

u can find netherite in loot chests

it is pretty useful in speedruns( for mining haybales)

but a stone hoe is so much better because it has more durability and almost the same mining speed, plus you dont have to waste two gold just to make a hoe that only can mine 32 things. but it is true that if you find one in a ruined portal it can be useful in a speed run to mine haybales

You can't have a crafting table without wood so diamonds are useless when you have no wood

Every single item in the game is completely worthless by itself. A netherite pickaxe? It's useless if there's nothing to mine. A netherire sword? It's useless if there's nothing to kill. So, when determining the value of any item, we must include the other factors which give it its value.

i think the clock is one of the most useless items, considering time itself in minecraft does not matter too much in standard gameplay, and i think chains are pretty useless outside of building

No Emerald ore is really hard to find there's no way to find except mountains and you can Just use the iron one

This makes no sense. That's like saying netherite is bad because it's hard to find.
