Which is the right behaviour with a rude person

Try kindness, take a deep breath and be calm instead of snapping back. Later on, try responding with an act of kindness. Doing so could break the cycle of rudeness by allowing the other person to match your behavior. If this tactic doesn't work, you can still be proud you didn't succumb to negativity.

Depending on how minor it is, from personal experience I usually try to calm things down on the club forum first. If it’s just one person, not multiple, then I’ll PM and kindly warn him. If it persists, then I mute him until such a time as he agrees to be more kind. Then I watch him very closely and if he’s still mean, then I kick him.

In clubs, if you’re still the admin, and they don’t respect you, then you have to remove them, I’d say. You can’t run a club if the members don’t respect you. If they start badmouthing you publicly or start privately harassing you, then you can report them to staff.

I can ignore any person on chess dot com no matter what they say. I have done it many times.

It's not like I have to see them in real life.

It's impossible, litteraly everyone hates me now. But there are a few who are reportable. If anyone called you names in a club, would it possible to report them for such actions?

Maybe make better decisions next time

I be very kind to my club members and tell them nicely and they actually listen! That's how my club got 60 members. If they are toxic just remove them.

I want advice in this case too

Yeah, my own club started an imperialist rebellion against me... I think alot of people here know the name and all the history, since it has become one of the most known club on chess.com despite having 41 members actually.

Are you talking about "Union of Soviet Socialist Redpawn Republics" club?

Uhm... how did you sir guess? Ig it is famous.

uhm famous ? alr but maybe not for the best

The best I have found is to ignore them. If that doesn't work then I would block. If they are spreading things about you contact a Mod and we can look at delete if it looks like a revengeful comment.

And how was I annoying? Just because I did not give the power to an imperialist?

Your club isn't famous on chess.com but people can find it in a minute by looking in the clubs you're in.

You are also an imperialist. The fact is you don’t know how to run the ship, you don’t know what you are doing. You forgot basic cause and effect and don’t know the consequences of your actions. You’re a raw immature kid at best and a fool at the worst. Rohit is a better option because he’s more mature and knows how to run it with an effective battle plan. You’re lost. Lost in the sauce. And it’s time for you to face the music

Let's please avoid making this thread about one specific club or admin. This thread is meant to pose a general question about a common situation. There are different unique instances, but this isn't the place to bring up any one particular situation, especially if tempers are still flared about it.

(For example, that's the kind of comment I make in the clubs I'm admin of when people start fighting XD)
