So I was trying to respond to someone on my blog, but it keeps giving me this error on my message:

Is this a beta thing?

Avatar of actual_knight_gaming

probably the word "suck"

Avatar of Six_Pack_Of_Flabs

Wierd.... what there is violating the guidelines?

Suck is considered a bad word now

I tried again with "I'm bad at chess" and It's giving me the same thing

Avatar of FlawlessLegendaryFighter

But when you typed it it was allowed?

Ahhh that makes sense

Oh it’s probably because you typed who’re

if you removed the apostrophe it’s a swear word

yikes

Yep. A similar thing happened to me when I tried to post this link in a public forum: Evidently I violated the Good Sportsmanship policy for punishing those who refuse to resign. - Chess Forums - Chess.com

I was told that the filter doesn't take into account the spaces between words, so the words "who" and "refuse" made that swear word. I guess it's the same thing with apostrophes.

Try changing the contraption yeah, as well as some other words
What are the chances of something like this being because some people have "verified" or in some fashion "unverified" accounts? I don't know, for example, how old your account is or how many posts you've made, but it could be something like that, where the filters are stricter, idk.
I'm very tempted to go test it out myself, see if I can post that same message somewhere. Wouldn't know where though, such that if it posted it wouldn't completely embarass me.
Would be nice if someone who knows how the filters work (some admin or dev or smth) could explain, but unfortunately, I don't think that's gonna happen.

its the fact you typed the W slur

Suck wasn't the word flagged.

Avatar of some_random_programmer

the word that was flagged was the abreviation of "who are" and it looked like the W slur so it was flagged
