Recently received from Sean, one of the super admins of UK Chess. Hi Alan, I don’t know if you saw this post, but I would just like to send congratulations to Somerset for winning the CC22 U1300 championship. Your trophy is in the announcement, if you have trouble downloading it let me know and I can send it to you. Somerset are the only team to have won all 4 major UKICC competitions (Open, Cup, U1600 and U1300), that’s an amazing achievement.

2020 LEAGUE AND CUP DOUBLE

We have just completed a tremendous League and Cup Double for the 2020 season. our 9.5 points in a close fought Final against Cambridgeshire, despite the scoring not taking into account some of the UK County Championship rules, has belatedly brought us the Cup for the second time in three years. This now goes alongside our league triumph and is only the second time this double has been achieved. Well done to all who contributed.
