My e5 pawn sacrifice in Four Knights Game. Have anyone played this before?

I was playing this game with Victor Dimtchev, whose blitz rating was around 1300 when before the game.  My ranking was even lower and still it is.  We were playing Four Knights version of Giuoco Piano, and I was playing with black.
The game went like 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.Bc4 Bc5 5.O-O O-O 6.a3 ... Till this point the game was very usual. Then Black made an inaccurate move 6. ... d5 (+0.72) black capture with his 'e'pawn 7. exd5 ... and I moved 7. ... Nd4. Earlier my knight was protecting the e5 pawn. It was the only defender of e5 pawn. My intention was to make the e5 pawn look extremely inviting to capture with f3 Knight. White moved 8.Nxe5 (+0.02) ... , Black's move was 8. ... Bd3 (+1.00) attacking knight on e5. For White the only safe square to move was d3, so he made next move 9.Nd3 (-3.71). Boom now Black has the textbook position to play a  Greek Gift.

6. ... d5 was a zwischenzug, I was intended to make Nd4 look like a forced move.  I played this trick on some offline games with some beginners, and it worked.
