DGT with chess.com. Comments, suggestions

Eyechess

Actually the question about using a DGT board is about Equipment.

However, the vast majority of your posts are promoting your personal group and services, having nothing to do with Books or Equipment.

TundraMike

There are a few better Categories for the post. There is an "Off-Topic" which is a catch-all for misc. and also Chess.com Community and "Chess Lessons", the latter maybe being the best one.

Maybe chess.com will add another Category of Twitch Streaming chess and Streamers which would even be the best for this.

The following and posting of a URL in the "Chess Book and Equipment " is just that, this is way off the category.

Is anyone here (other than me) using a DGT board? WhistleBlower, EyeChess, TundraMike? Do you have anything to contribute here?

I am fond of The DGT Electronic Chessboard USB & Bluetooth through Chesshouse.com ($1,017.00 USD).

I do not currently use this piece of equipment but I am considering purchasing one.

I have just bough a subscription to chess.com so after the 30 days I'll be able to use the DGT.  Always played better with a physical board rather than a screen.

DGT serial is over 20 years old now, still working perfectly.  The thing was built to last

Found this https://www.chess.com/news/view/play-live-chess-from-your-dgt-board
We can play on live chess, I'm after playing against the computer using the board, hmm, option not available yet sad.png

The Regium thing has been pretty conclusively debunked as fraudulent

I don't mean to be pessimistic, but whether or not DGT ever develops a Regium-like e-board, it wouldn't make any difference for us, mere mortals: how much would it cost ? Let's keep in mind that the Revelation II is already outrageously overpriced at US$ 3,500 aprox. what would be your guess for this new e-board.........?

Hi at all! I own a DGT usb e-board. There are some news about the integration with dgt 3000 clock?

You have a point @havb1961 but then we can wait for price to drop once something like that is at least released/invented or decide how to beg borrow barter lol

Yes indeed wink.png

I turn it on but it always “fails to connect” so it’s no different.

I use the DGT Smart Board. It's not as nice as one of the wood options, but it has all of the functionally at a far lower price. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a more budget friendly version.

Taking a poll on who is using DGT with chess.com. Comments, suggestions

Yes, just this day i played my first game on chess.com with DGT chess board. Linux mint, connected via USB ( Bluetooth disconnected after pairing), with the only software livechess launched before opening chess.com on Chrome. Very stable, all right. And i won my first game on DGT!!

Oddsod

I have a DGT board but am unable to get it to connect.

I have joined beta & made a posting

I have checked the box in live settings to use the DGT board

Anyone have some ideas where I might be going wrong?

The bluetooth connection to the computer works fine when I play Fritz

Thanks,

Oddsod

Got it!

I hadn't downloaded the livechess software, doh!

Now works and one of chess.com's bots (very) basic bots despatched.

anyone fancy a game?
