and, a quick search shows the virus lasts on cardboard for a day. so, open it up and show us!

It's the hermetically sealed plastic surfaces inside that is the concern.

Currently it's contained, at least relatively, within these United States.

Depending on where it originated, certain protocols may be required upon package opening.

perhaps i'm wrong, but i believe you've had the package for about a week? if so, everything should be safe to handle. if you don't think so, you could use the wipes on the board and pieces.

Al, if you don't mind, I'll make the field decisions on how to handle my chess set, in this most bizarre time.

I might wipe, I might spray, and I might burn the darn thing in a remote fire pit without me or anyone ever seeing it.

It's my set, I paid for it, and now I'll do with it as I please.
