Chess Up 2 board I coming out!

Mine said it would be here about now....and it's still not here yet.

I paid about 235 pounds for it....it seemed like a lot of money at first, but I was pretty much willing to pay whatever once I saw the ad -can anyone else agree?

The original Kickstarter said November but one of the updates (September) changed it to December due to some difficulties. It has been that timeline (December delivery) since the update on 18-Sept.

As for the price, it is right in line with the technology, not a too much, nor too low. I have paid from $150US for an eboard up to $700US for my Chessnut Pro with premium pieces.

My previous experience with the Chessup 1 made me join the Kickstarter early (backer #384).

Is it really good?

There have only been a small number of units that have been delivered, and they were early units sent to hammer out the last few issues.

They have not been shipped yet, so it is hard to give you an answer.

Based on the previous product it will most likely be good. But as they say, "past performance is no guarantee of future results".

A lot of people who got 1 seem to think enough of it to get 2. That's a pretty darn good recommendation.

i'm seriiously thiinking of buying a unt for a friend for christmas just think of the look on his face when he gets an eboard for christmas that is (hopefully) as great as this one!

But then, perhaps you ordered sooner than I did - I joined the kickstarter about an hour or so before it ended and they may be going 'in order'.

The boat with the European units on them is not due into Rotterdam until 14-Dec.

No, according to Jeff @ Bryghtlabs all US units from the Kickstarter should be going out around the same time (from a note by him on the Kickstarter pages, either comments or answering a question on the last update).

Can somebody just tell me (people who got it) is it good because I misclicked in my game and I don't want that to happen again. So, is it good for not making blunders, misclicks, and maybe staying more focused because there is no chat. Quote my message to say anything.

I received my e-mail yesterday. Currently waiting on UPS to officially "obtain" the package so I can check for updated delivery dates. I am more excited than I've been for any other product in my entire life. I will update here when I receive an estimated delivery date.

Having used e-boards for almost 2 years now (including the Chessup 1), yes e-boards help with not making "mis-clicks"; 2) no it will not help you in not "making blunders" as it will not give you hints or anything like that while playing a game online; 3) they truly help me stay focused, I concentrate on the board, not on a screen waiting for a move that has other things to distract me.

The boards have not been delivered yet (the reason people are talking about getting their shipping notifications) so no one can truly tell you what it is like, unless they got a very early version that has had many changes since they received it. But that was a very small number.

Patience. Expect to see lots of talk about the board over the next 2 - 3 weeks as people get the board and start using it. Also expect some initial bumps as BryghtLabs irons out the issues that come up as more people start using it.

Who did your email come from? I still have not gotten and email notice of shipping.

Bryght Labs sent the e-mail out on Monday. I can track the package through UPS as of last night. The expected delivery is this Friday, December 6th

Ok, thanks. My last Bryght Labs email was the order confirmation from filling out the survey for address and add-ons that came 20-Nov.
