Good Chess Books for Beginners and Beyond...

@RussBell, I saw your post after writing this post. Thank you so much for that post! I'm currently reading Mastering the Chess Openings (spending 15 min - 1 hour per game) to understand every move that I can. My goal is to understand plans, the drawbacks of pieces in certain openings, the weaknesses, etc. As for the middlegame, I'm still doing tactics and learning some ideas like good pieces vs bad pieces. There are video lessons on YouTube that explain the strengths and weaknesses of each element well.

You're welcome. As I mention in the article, John Watson's 4-volume series, Mastering The Chess Openings, is outstanding.

Here are the books I plan to study:
Openings: Winning chess Openings by Seirawan and Mastering the Chess Openings Volume 1 (John Watson).
Strategy: Chess training for post beginners, practical middle game techniques, the chess toolbox, positional evaluation by Dan Heisman, and winning chess strategy by Seirawan.
Tactics: combinative motifs, the Manual of Chess Combinations, Progressively challenging tactics, Chess tactics antenna, chess 5334, sharpen your tactics, and 3003 never-ending tactics.
Endgame: Silman's book.
Thought process: The improving chess thinker.
Instructive games: Winning Chess Brillianices, Logical Chess Move by Move, The Most Instructive Games of Chess Ever Played, and Attacking 101 Volumes 1 and 2 by Joel Johnson.
Plan: I plan to read the tactics and endgame books always, but I need to choose between starting with openings or strategy.
