What's to stop an unambitious player from securing a draw by parroting moves and playing his/her opponent against his/herself? Time? I can just see it happening with each player on each board on each clock daring the other to move first taking it down to the last second and finishing at Blitz pace if niether gives in... it's a silly picture.
The fact that there is plenty of time for punishment of the opponent rushing through. These are long games.

In an OTB tournament arbiters deal with situations where a player gets outside assistance.

Two games at the same time. Nothing special here. Players have hundreds of games going at the same time.
What if it is in a major OTB tournament?
