We cannot resist mentioning a joke that is making the rounds in Russia and the Internet: the only way Vladimir Putin could think of getting Kasparov out of the news was to announce his divorce from wife Lyudmila a few hours after the Kasparov story broke...

I think Kasparov is welcome to stay anywhere... including Russia 

Well, with the billions that are supposedly stolen from the Olympics I don't blame him.

Poor people of Russia for having leaders like that. And meanwhile in the Netherlands we are finding out (and still missing ALOT) that loads and loads of money is disappearing into the pockets of people who are already rich. And that money usually is taxpayers money.

Im starting to think that organisational crime is the biggest enemy of today.

Do you really think Vladmir Putin cares what some retired chess player thinks who comes from Azerbiz???   Can't remember, you think Putin can,..?

Putin may not care, but then you can still leave the country in disgust.

Kasparov can live in all sorts of wonderful, interesting, and cosmopolitan places of the world.  

But not because he is Henry Kissinger.

Apparently Kasparov lives in France now.

Kasparov always had overburst ego, and his interest in politics is out of place and character. If he focused on the world of chess and sport in general, he would be much better off. Countries like Russia and China do not tolerate intrusions into politics regardless of who you are.

One more,one less...sounds like something Stalin would say.

I read a tweet that he was staying in New York. Doesn't he have a daughter living in the states?
