He have our first result of Round 7 of Nanjing, and boy is it a big one. Topalov(W) vs. Bacrot(B). This match can go a long way into deciding the winner of this event. Here it is:

Topalov might've just played spoiler enough to let Mags win this tournament. At the time of Bacrot's resignation, the clock read 9 minutes for white and 1 minute and 35 seconds for black. Now if Magnus beats Anand, he'll pull away from the pack and hold a pretty good lead in this event.

The other two games will be posted when they are finished. Smile

The next game on tap is Gashimov(W) vs. Wang(B). This was a LONG game, ending at 67.Ke4, well into the 3rd phase of time. The Magnus(W) vs. Anand(B) game is a long one as well. Today's games have been very entertaining and full of tension and excitement. Here is the Gashimov/Wang game:

The last game is still ongoing and as always, will be posted when it is done.

And finally today, Mags vs. Anand has just finished up in another long game, but the result was pretty much what I thought it was going to be.

And so that is it. Mags pads his lead with this draw, upping his lead to a full point after Bacrot's loss, but Anand is still holding on to a very close third. Standings will be up in a minute. Cool
