There are no fair matches.

It's allways a very strong team/with at least one GM against a medium/with no GMs or even IMs team.

Avatar of ChessMarkstheSpot

Yes, there are matches that look off-balanced. Hopefully in the next rounds it will be more fair

In swiss system events the first few rounds are always like this.... as the event goes on the match ups will be grow more competitive.

Avatar of ChessMarkstheSpot

LOL what Reb just said. The more powerful teams will just roll over their opponents in the opening stages.

Geez, team South Africa seems to  be tied 1.5/1.5 with 1 game still in progress?

I think I'll get drunk now. :)

Avatar of ChessMarkstheSpot

LOL rooperi, it's not over yet

Avatar of rooperi

Ah, and I looked wrong anyway. 3.5-0.5 to Azerbaijan.

But Kenny Solomon Got a draw with Black against a 27something, that's still good....

Avatar of ChessMarkstheSpot

Yes that is something, it should be a good motivator at least
