Dear Beloved Chess.com ommunity,

Today, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude as I sit down to write this letter to all of you — every single heart, every thoughtful hand, every open mind that makes this community what it is.

First and foremost, thank you for your kindness. In a world that can sometimes feel cold and fast-moving, the warmth that radiates from this community is a constant beacon. It is in the simple gestures — the welcoming words to a newcomer, the patient listening to someone’s struggles, the steady encouragement when someone dares to share a dream — that our spirit shines brightest. Thank you for choosing kindness, even when it's not the easiest choice.

Thank you for your generosity. The way you share your knowledge, your time, your energy, and your spirit humbles me. Every piece of advice offered, every resource shared, every unnecessary add, every aggressive membership offer pop up, every unnecessary puzzle, every moment spent helping another person grow, adds threads to the beautiful tapestry we are weaving together. You make the whole greater than the sum of its parts, again and again.

Thank you for your courage. Communities grow stronger because individuals are brave enough to show up authentically — to share their true selves, their hopes, their fears, their passions. Each one of you who has dared to be vulnerable, to speak up, to lead when needed or step back when necessary, you inspire me. You teach me that strength is not in pretending to have it all figured out, but in standing together even when we feel uncertain about why did this player decided to decline my rematch request.

Thank you for your resilience. Thank you for all the unnecessary indian loan hotlines and random spam that floods the forums. Not every path is smooth, not every conversation easy, not every day simple. But you have stayed. You have worked through misunderstandings, you have forgiven mistakes, you have rebuilt trust where it faltered. That perseverance is the lifeblood of any true community, and your example reminds me that unity is not about never falling apart, but about always coming back together.

I am deeply grateful for the sense of belonging you nurture here. It is not something that just happens — it is built, moment by moment, word by word, choice by choice. Each of you is a builder. Please know that you are seen. You are appreciated. You are essential. Each of you matters; each of you makes this space better simply by being in it, except those with under 500 elo that mistreat, devalue, disrespect and deeply infect this beautiful game called chess alltogether with the great chess payers that come across to enjoy the chess experience that this great community has to offer.

From the bottom of my heart — thank you for being you, and thank you for choosing to be a part of this. I am honored, every day, to walk this path alongside you, exploring the new horizons of uncertainty together, holding hands. Please note that to compensate for this spike of inmense love and gratitude I am randomly blocking 3 members of chess.com. I am ending this letter with a wish to continue being a part of this amazing community and wish you a wonderful day!

I wish you great chess games like never before, and may the luck be on your side of the chess board, here, in Chess.com

I can't believe somebody could read such a boring post.

I can't believe you would say that to an inspiring thanks. If you have bad things to say, don't say it.

Just given the length and cliches, that's gotta be AI.

May your blocks be righteous, your elo stable, and your rematch requests always accepted.

I know what it's like to be loved and appreciated. When I die, some of my cremated remains will be made into a Chess set that will be sold to the highest bidder from my club. Also, as only the club's second president, a statue of me will be erected near the entrance to our meeting place.
