The Block Bypass Thread!

I was reading through some of the other thread again and almost missed your absolutely insane post:

"Rationalizations bolded above. You are in full fledged trolling mode now...not even pretending to argue real points...just vying for personal attention.

There are real issues that affect younger generations, but *your* plight is of your own making. This statement:

Personal pride and accomplishment are just man made concepts that are trivial

...is something you need to work on. You don't hide in your car because you want to avoid other people's sniffles..."

I can stay in my car for any reason I wish. If there's a way to avoid getting sick that also happens to be more comfortable as well, why shouldn't I? You (along with alot of the older generation) seem to want people to take the hard-way out for everything for no reason. Funny you call it sniffles when in the covid thread you support draconian vaccine and mask mandates and excessive lockdowns which harm society...but my simply sitting in my car not to get sick (affecting no one else) is unacceptable to you. LOL You just can't get over the fact that everything that uses the slightest bit of fossil fuels isn't a crime. Too effin bad buddy.

Personal pride and accomplishments are only meaningful if they help other people. Deliberately making something hard for oneself and then overcoming when you didnt have to in the first place is not genuine pride. Its like the arsonist who sets a building on fire so he can run in and save everyone. I am not "proud" of the fact that I graduated high school or earned a useless college degree. Will it help me make more money or improve humanity? No, so who cares? Millions of other people have done the same thing. I'd didn't even attend my college graduation ceremony cause it was too early in the morning.

Deliberately taking the hard way out of working 10 hours a day to pay rent when you can still live at home and save the money you make with an easier job, is lunacy. To put yourself through that just for the principle/idea of it. If there are actual reasons to live alone like a family is toxic fine, but to do so just for the virtue signaling of "hey look at me I'm a big cool independent human" is laughable. Health and practicality comes before any virtue signaling.

No, I don't support draconian, excessive, or harmful anything. I called it sniffles because that's how you originally characterized not wanting to to into a coffee house...to avoid colds and the like.

...but my simply sitting in my car not to get sick (affecting no one else) is unacceptable to you.

It's not unacceptable to me, it's just cowardly of you and no way to live a life. There's a difference.

LOL You just can't get over the fact that everything that uses the slightest bit of fossil fuels isn't a crime. Too effin bad buddy.

Another misleading statement. My post must have really pushed some buttons, I guess?

Personal pride and accomplishments are only meaningful if they help other people.

Faulty premise, but I am not surprised you hold this point of view.

Deliberately making something hard for oneself and then overcoming when you didnt have to in the first place is not genuine pride.

That is not the definition of personal pride and accomplishments.

Its like the arsonist who sets a building on fire so he can run in and save everyone. I am not "proud" of the fact that I graduated high school or earned a useless college degree. Will it help me make more money or improve humanity? No, so who cares? Millions of other people have done the same thing. I don't care that you don't care. Ironic?

Deliberately taking the hard way out of working 10 hours a day to pay rent when you can still live at home and save the money you make with an easier job, is lunacy. To put yourself through that just for the principle/idea of it. If there are actual reasons to live alone like a family is toxic fine, but to do so just for the virtue signaling of "hey look at me I'm a big cool independent human" is laughable. Again, faulty premise. Living independently is not a form of virtue signaling.

You've just got all your rationalizations down pat, don't you? You're like a bitter 80 year old man at age 23.

This is all just deflection, though. You lied about the blocking stuff, and you knew you did, not just because you sent those PMs, but because I already posted in another thread how it was that you became blocked without being listed on the Covid thread's block listing (which was some twisted goal for you, so you can score some points with some other miscreants and malcontents)...so this was not new information for you, you just choose to pretend I shadow-banned you anyway. Ethics is not your strong suit, that's about the nicest way I can put it.

Cowardly? Taking precautions not to get sick? LOL I wonder what you would think of the fact that I keep lysol with me in my car and spray the gas pump handle before using it. Not one other actual real response to any other points. There is no benefit of living independently if you end up in a worse financial situation than you are right now. The only possible reason someone would still insist on that if they don't dislike their family/quality of life at home, is virtue signaling. Ethics don't apply, unless your going for the "it's unfair that I had to work for my money so I should make my kids work and be just as miserable" luny logic. People have a right to be bitter with the way society is today. Forcing yourself to smile your way through life and put on a brave face and act all phoney cheery like everything is hunky dorey is yet another example of virtue signaling. This thread is actually proving its purpose with this interaction, showing how blocked users still will write paragraphs interacting with each other, so blocking is pointless and merely a way of throwing a temper tantrum.

Elroch said in the global warming thread:

"EndgameEnthusiast2357 wrote:[snip] as of now the angle of the sun is responsible for 99.99999999% of the temperatures on the Earth [snip]
Goodbye, innumerate spouter of drivel."

The sun's angle to the Earth is responsible for what regions are what temperatures. That's why it is colder in the winter despite the Earth actually being a few million miles closer to the sun. The angle is less direct. Greenhouse gases trap heat, but where do you think the heat comes from? Carbon molecules aren't just little nano sized ovens floating around..

Exactly. Climate change is fantasy, thank you!

Cowardly, because that's not the reason you are avoiding people at all...and if this thread is anything, it's a microcosm of your life choices. Bitter, isolated by choice, and full of willful ignorance. Enjoy.

there are many people who are into the "blocking a person because you disagree with them" thing

Avatar of AngryPuffer

i still aint over it when i should be

Avatar of AngryPuffer

like grow up, this is the internet. If you dont like what you hear then stop using it

Avatar of AngryPuffer

You think that what they are saying is offensive? ignore them or get off that platform

maybe they should make it so that blocking a user does not simply remove them from speaking, especially when its one of those blue haired woke people from Cali who get offended by everything you say

Avatar of rooksb4

And what would that do?

Blocking is meant so you can instantly stop getting harrassed.

A. Chess.com is a private company and doesn't need free speech.

B. Free speech has limitations.

C. Harassment.

Like, I agree, blocking for a petty reason is dumb, but blocking is still useful.

yes but it also censors people from whatever forum that user created, if you dont like what you are hearing then ignore it

Avatar of rooksb4

I personally don't block, but blocking is meant for preventing harassment or spam.

There are 3 types of posters on my block list:

1. Posters that harass, be it PMs, repeating friend requests or game challenges endlessly, etc.

2. Posters that break the guidelines of a thread I am responsible for (in which case I will document the block and the reason why)

3. New sockpuppet accounts of posters #1 and #2.

Five of Trump’s lawyers in New York have been fined $7,500 each for “repetitive and frivolous arguments”. Blacking is how responsible posters keep such arguments out of threads they create.

Open discussion does not mean a cacophony of endless nonsense. But, that’s what we have when certain members dominate the forums.

thats sad, it really seems like if they are trying to take away free speech bit by bit

america is supposed to be a free country where you can say what you think and not get jail time, fined, killed, or punished in any other way

Lawyers live by a system of ethics. Courts are not chaos, but places for reasoned and informed arguments about the law and evidence. When you refuse to play by the rules, there are consequences.

Seeing such sanctions as an attack of free speech is evidence that you do not understand the concept.
