What do you mean by speed chess? I have been playing rapid which is 30 minutes is there a longer version?

30 minutes is good to start. I started that way and I'm doing meh
Well, I can't speak for "good" players, but you are already higher rated than I ever reached on rapid after two years... I know that's not a particularly high bar, but still, yay you!

Oh wow alright thats not bad I suppose then I came from a strategy background. I was a master league player in starcraft so maybe some of those skills are transfering over idk haha

Well I wouldn't read too much into it, because 1) I am unusually bad, and 2) I also played a lot of strategy games, although not starcraft. Total War Rome II and 4x games mostly.
Hello everyone I'm new to chess.com and to playing chess I always knew how to play but really haven't gotten into it until recently I joined June 17 started with a score of 500 or so I think. Went down to 400 and now up to around 930 I'm just curious is that a decent score for a beginner? Been playing for about a month now just looking to learn about the system and chess.
