I am writing to express my anger and sadness at having to leave this site. Last week, my account was closed for violating the fair play policy. Believing this to be an error, I appealed the action, and was denied. My account name is JohnCohen. My USCF rating is 2181 and my chess.com rating is 2201. In the past, when I have seen similar complaints, I have assumed that the complainer was being untruthful, since I believed that chess.com was conservative in its anti-cheat enforcement. It is beyond frustrating to be unable to confront any of the data used in making this finding against me. I was looking forward to becoming a titled player and getting my free diamond membership when I crossed the 2200 threshold, but I see that I won't be able to do that now. I doubt this post will accomplish much of anything, but I wanted to add my 2 cents to this issue.
P.S. - For anyone interested, I invite you to review my games at member/JohnCohen
