I haven't seen ratings thrown around too much, but I generally agree on the toxicity. Someone flat out said stop playing chess, because I was annoyed at something. I don't think it's specific to here, though. Have you tried chatting anywhere? The internet and world are getting more toxic and hateful every day.

Actually radishes are moderately high in Potassium (and therefore moderately radioactive, as food goes). Dried oriental radishes are over 3% Potassium.

Avocados, watermelon and beans are also high in Potassium. Don't know how that mix would taste, though.

In the early 2000´s when chess engines weren´t that strong and chess knowledge was not as easy obtainable as these days even strong (titled) players wrote in chess forums to discuss new opening ideas and stuff like that. These days everyone can check his own ideas with Stockfish, so there is no need for this anymore. That means that there is really not that much substantial to discuss and you either 1. have a pretty inactive forum (like chesspub) or 2. a forum full of Off-topic discussions with a lot of spam.
You might say that every post written in this forum is lost within 2 hours as new posts are incoming frequently which also discourages players to put in some effort when posting something.

It's the game itself. Don't you see the most famous and rated players in the world how despise the other players? All the videos on youtube of gm's posting their games against newbies and mocking them?
