No need of this! Just wait! When the scots go out of the so called "Great Britain" the flag will automaticaly change dramaticaly thank you for brexit!

Someone sounds bitter. I'm against Brexit but it's not good for you either....

Lol, I would've voted for GB to leave had Europeans been allowed to. Go Brexit!!

The French economy is going to suffer as a result of it, so you're a fool!

Why on Earth do I have this problem? I swear as soon as I see the Union Jack of the opponent I start to get nervous and think I can’t win and I end up sabotaging myself. It’s because I have this notion in my head that English people are just super intelligent and very witty and quick witted.

How do I overcome this inferiority complex? Any other nationality I don’t really have any problem but with the UK I can’t play with calm and enjoyment, I can’t concentrate on the game.

This is called:

"Paranoia"

A better word would be “ Lunacy “ ✌️😎

It is, in fact, not good for anyone - except maybe for some hardliner. But you are right, this is not the topic....

Your emotional outburst has nothing to do with the topic.

There was another fairly long discussion recently where people were explaining the nationalities that they find most difficult to play against. Seems surprisingly common. Might want to look that conversation up.

The only sign of playing strength is someone's rating.

chamo2074

maybe depends on the way how people are getting taught in some countries...

I think British people have got thousands of sources they can visit to learn chess (because of the international language, and they have the good old GInger GM which puts up a whole different variety of the way to play chess

Did you read the last words of my comment??

If u experience an inferiority complex in relations to Brits, just remember Diane abbott and Emily Thornberry are British <_<

Lol you are not the only one struggling with certain nations

Here are my top 5 I struggle most against

1.Russia

2.France

3.Bangladesh

4.Sweden

5.Myanmar

Exactly.

Attempting to post the link comes up as such:

Opponents from which country are the toughest to face on chess.com? - Chess Forums - Page 5 - Chess.com

So anyone can search that, if interested.

Best was when she went and did PR wearing two left shoes by mistake.

Approximate mental age of 3 years old.

So yes, very far from all geniuses. But we do quite well in terms of average IQ per country bar some obviously quite funny exceptions. Focus on them for sure, if it will get someone over the hump lol

I think attaching negative or positive emotions to certain things in games can be a bit of a gambler's mindset.

Just because someone put two left shoes on , doesn’t give you the right to determine their mental age .......typical remark from a snob .

When was the last time that you saw a grown adult that didn't know which shoes to put on which feet?

And keep in mind that this was for a big day in front of cameras.

Literally never, in my case.

Perhaps the topic creator can use that to help get over the hump along with the huge amount of others going through the exact same thing as he is.

What do you think of deciding playing strength based on nationality rather than rating, Julius Caesar?

Seeing as a fellow above likes a bit of Brando, and I do too (who doesn't?), I'll put a bit.

You’re still a snob , and rhetoric proves it . You no doubt spend your Sunday mornings , on a soapbox at Hyde Park Corner .

Interesting topic, when you have doubts, do you ever doubt the doubt's validity. You are handicapped by your own thinking... whether you think you can or whether you think you can't you are right. Try being a little more mentally disciplined in your approach to playing the British, they are tenacious but not smarter.

I'm tempted to tell you how I send your mum home on Sundays.

Be more polite and stick to the subject of helping your fellow man.
