It’s a memorial
Tournament in honor of @52yrral’s IRL passing.
Ikr he was the nicest person on chess.com if not the world we need to show respect for him as much as we can he showed respect to everyone

Also you are honoring his death, not him? Probably just bad phrasing, but that seems disrespectful to me.
Of course in remembrance of him ! W T _ ?

This is just a post taking advantage of the drama.
If you want to tribute Larry talk about him, or post about one of his wins, or post about his content.
Why are u making a tournament and promoting a club under the guise of a "honouring the dead" post.
there's so many ways to respectfully tribute someone, this isn't it chief.
who you calling chief and why wouldn’t his family who knows how much this site means to him be delighted to see in remembrance he has tribute tourney? I’m certainly not for any individual to make simply because to gain popularity or whatever, but it certainly IS Very Respectful On His Chess Site He Daily Loved. 😢🥺
...in fact, from family!

Yes, Thank you so much. I recognize many of your names. He walked over for dinner almost every night, even through our few days of heavy snow. He loved to play Scrabble with us while we ate, but he would talk about all of you and who had adopted him as grandpa recently, who was depressed by house confinement, who was lonely. Thank you for all the lovely remembrances. I will use them all April 30th at his service. Hugs to all of you. Sparrow152

Do whatever you want.
But I'm gonna say you have no morals, and have to post about some guy thats died and promote a tournament instead of letting them rest in peace.
...I certainly believe he’d be tickled greatly with the golden heart he so showed to all here.
Honoring Him, In Loving Memory. 🥺 ...... sensibly so!
NOTE: Yes, I removed some of what was said, but because it was already stated, and this was the prior page, and perhaps it wasn’t viewed, Sonia, that I’ve now yes removed, and only made again considering I hadn’t hit the quote. 🤷♂️

There's better ways to tribute like I mentioned before.
