Tournament in honor of @52yrral’s IRL passing.

TheBestBeer_Root

...yeah, his group doesn’t look any bit representing honor, agreed! However, yes that I clearly don’t agree with nor tolerate and yeah should be removed asa, yet others who wish in his loving memory it makes entire absolute sense, PERIOD

Also you are honoring his death, not him? Probably just bad phrasing, but that seems disrespectful to me.

It’s a memorial

This is just a post taking advantage of the drama.

If you want to tribute Larry talk about him, or post about one of his wins, or post about his content.

Why are u making a tournament and promoting a club under the guise of a "honouring the dead" post.

there's so many ways to respectfully tribute someone, this isn't it chief.

who you calling chief and why wouldn’t his family who knows how much this site means to him be delighted to see in remembrance he has tribute tourney? I’m certainly not for any individual to make simply because to gain popularity or whatever, but it certainly IS Very Respectful On His Chess Site He Daily Loved. 😢🥺

...in fact, from family!

Yes, Thank you so much. I recognize many of your names. He walked over for dinner almost every night, even through our few days of heavy snow. He loved to play Scrabble with us while we ate, but he would talk about all of you and who had adopted him as grandpa recently, who was depressed by house confinement, who was lonely. Thank you for all the lovely remembrances. I will use them all April 30th at his service. Hugs to all of you. Sparrow152

Well, he played chess, so it only seemed right to make a chess tournament in his name. If you don’t want to do something and be a $&@/¥#}* it’s fine, just don’t hinder other people. No matter how much hate I get, I will still hold it because I, unlike you, think it’s the right thing to do, $&%#¥£

Do whatever you want.

But I'm gonna say you have no morals, and have to post about some guy thats died and promote a tournament instead of letting them rest in peace.

...I certainly believe he’d be tickled greatly with the golden heart he so showed to all here.

Honoring Him, In Loving Memory. 🥺 ...... sensibly so!

NOTE: Yes, I removed some of what was said, but because it was already stated, and this was the prior page, and perhaps it wasn’t viewed, Sonia, that I’ve now yes removed, and only made again considering I hadn’t hit the quote. 🤷‍♂️

I saw it, but i don’t remember what you said

How is a tournament a tribute. Also this guy is promoting a club, so idk why ur still commenting.

There's better ways to tribute like I mentioned before.

Like I said, I will disband the club after the tournament! Larry played chess so it seemed right to hold a chess tourney in his honor! If you try to stop me any further, you will be an official member of the Larry haters club... and you don’t want to be a member of that club
Soniasthetics

i dont care about a club some random user makes.

You're just exposing yourself right now.

awesome1184
And you are a member of the Larry hater club, so I will block you. Have fun!
icyboyyy

this tournament isn't bad, tho it's not the most proper way to say goodbye to someone. but in no way is it disrespectful to larry
