I can appreciate that, and if only out of goodwill I should probably do just that. In hindsight, With the benefit of perspective, this is less creepy than it would have been on skype or discord or something.

Do I have to be solicited to ask to become a friend?
I have two Chess/com friends currently, and we have pretty well zero contact. That is OK. I hate to turn people down and seldom reject a request., and after a few weeks I mostly cancel them. They never seem to notice they are gone.
