It looks OK for the money.
Nice find! Always nice to find a chess set in a thrift store that isn't made of glass pieces or shot glasses.
I think I saw that sitting in Value Village a couple days ago? ;P

Oh probably. I grabbed it at one on wellington by my office. Maybe someone is making big money flippin stuff from VV to the other shops

The king and queen look very clearly like the Chinese made (I think) chess sets that are sold on Amazon and stores like Target and Walmart for under $30 probably. By mentioning that I don’t mean it’s bad or that you shouldn’t have bought it.
The other pieces look nicer than the ones I’ve seen, particularly the pawns. I also cannot tell what size they are from the photos.

Just checked, the squares are 1 1/3" and King is 3"
Very nice set, especially for $10 . I like it. Very warm feelings and good vibe comes from this chess set, by the looks of it .
Found this set at a local thrift shop for $10. No branding on anything and it’s probably nothing special but hey $10
