2022 sinquefield cup board recommendation

Hello. I think the colors on the sinquefield cup table / playing board are easy on the eyes. Maple and walnut? I like the light walnut because it contrasts well with the black pieces.

Does anyone have a board or table recommendation to replicate this?

It appears to me that the St. Louis Chess Club "just" uses a standard DGT walnut and maple board (manufactured by Rechapados Ferrer) laid into a slot on a table. (?)

JLP Drueke style board would be my first choice if I had that really nice set.

Wow that JPL board looks nice

That JLP is the nicest Drueke-style board out there. I own two, they are just head and shoulders above anything else!

If you are seeking a more medium tone for the dark squares to contrast with black pieces maybe check out a different wood instead of Walnut.

Below is a chess table made with Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry), Maple, and Walnut (corners) on the same playing surface. It's interesting to compare the woods side by side.

Beautiful table @pawnerai ! I've not seen Jatoba have such rich brown tones before, and the black walnut corners really add a strong element to the already distinct table design.
