My game with @Krames is now available online and is getting tense (for me, anyway!).

lotsoblots v Krames
last move ...nb4
I'm pretty sure its not 'correct', but I didn't see anything 'better'.
Maybe the first blunder of this thread , , ,
I sure didn't think it was a blunder, felt like a nice trap ... my next two moves after both felt like I'm walking on thin ice.
Yeah, I *love* Chessable...sometimes maybe even more than playing. I'm currently on an 828 day streak and the opening courses I'm focusing on are:
Kamil Plichta - King's Indian Attack
https://www.chessable.com/lifetime-repertoires-kings-indian-attack/course/66231/
John Bartholomew - Scandinavian
https://www.chessable.com/im-john-bartholomews-scandinavian-defense/course/79/
Kamil Plichta - Short & Sweet: Plichta's King's Indian Defense
https://www.chessable.com/short-sweet-plichtas-kings-indian-defense/course/31739/
The first two are purchased and I'm still experimenting with KID as a defense for d4.
By the way, on a separate topic, how are you all making your moves? I'm making my move on the board, writing it down, then moving over to the computer and making the chess.com daily move without allowing myself to think in front of the computer. Terrifying.
lol, I'm just making the moves on my phone. I play mostly blitz, I don't know how to really 'think' about my moves. And good stuff w Chessable, I like Kamil Plichta a lot!
@lots
My entire thought process around our game for the last bunch of moves has been pushing e5. My gut says without that push I lose, with it, maybe I can draw . . .
Excited to find out!
This has been an absolute blast so far for me. I don't know if it's the enjoyment of moving the pieces (despite having a bunch of chess sets and boards, I've barely played *any* OTB games) and writing down the moves or the action in the middle game or a combination of all those things. But from my perspective (and maybe these are all terrible blunders) I keep trying to apply some pressure in order to setup a tactic but you deftly dodge it and setup a tactic of your own which makes me scramble. So good.
I have no ability to evaluate this. You could tell me that white is crushing or black is crushing or it's a draw and I would believe you.
If you're referring to my recent photo, the squares are 50mm. I do really like this board.

I agree!!! Loving this game and this set-up. And as far as the game goes, I usually have a decent idea if I have some potential tactics to line up or a few ideas to bring pressure. I don't see any of that for my side, I'm going to just keep playing moves that look 'solid' and hope for the best
I'm a diehard Nimzo fan, I'm going to do my best to make him proud of the passed pawn I created . . .
And with my last move of the night, Re6, I feel the wheels starting to come off. I miscalculated my previous move, which I was SO pleased with myself about prior to the response from @Krames.
Well - I’m not good enough to have long terms plans but my objective - in a general sense - is to get to the middle without too many blunders and enter that mid-stage in what is best described as controlled chaos - which, by definition is ridiculous… If it’s controlled …cannot really be chaos?! What I will say is fact … the Ganine pieces while attractive and full of stern faces are a sh!tshow to play with and recognise on the board!🤦♂️So updated photos in order below … Kramesy, felonet and Stum!
@stumOnner
Very Nice looking boards and pieces. This thread is blossoming with very beautiful chess pictures and games.
